
Kathy Durant, CPNP-PC, IBCLC, PMHS joined CMA in 2013 — Kathy Durant received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from George Mason University after working for many years as a medical assistant in primary care. She joined the CMA family as a registered nurse and went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing at Old Dominion University. Kathy completed part of her advanced practice clinical training at CMA and is delighted to continue as their newest Nurse Practitioner. She is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society. Kathy has traveled and lived around the world as a military spouse and is happy to now be settled in Alexandria, VA with her husband of 24 years and their three daughters. Her youngest daughter was born with special needs and Kathy understands the rewards and challenges that come from working with these patients and their families. In her free time, Kathy enjoys running, and reading novels.
