Ghassan N. Atiyeh M.D., F.A.A.P.

Ghassan N. Atiyeh, MD, FAAP joined CMA in 2002 — Dr. Atiyeh received his medical degree from The George Washington University.  He underwent training in Pediatrics and served as Associate Chief Resident at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC.  He is board certified and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.  In his capacity as Assistant Clinical Professor at University of Virginia and previously at The George Washington University, he enjoys training medical students and pediatric residents.  While interested in many different aspects of medicine, Dr. Atiyeh’s research has focused on issues of preventive care and public health.  Dr. Atiyeh continues to be named a “Top Doctor” by Northern Virginia Magazine and is a regular recipient of the “Patients’ Choice” award.  He was also recognized multiple times as a Top Pediatrician by Washington Consumer Checkbook Magazine, Washingtonian Magazine and by the Consumer’s Research Council of America.  Dr. Atiyeh served as President of Northern Virginia Pediatric Society.  He is married and has three children.  When not working, he enjoys relaxing with family and friends, spending time at the beach, traveling and gardening.
