Brian Long

Brian P. Long, MD, FAAP, MPH joined CMA in 2015 — Brian Long grew up in Virginia Beach, VA with his mother and younger brother.  He graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry.  He stayed in Charlottesville, VA for an additional 5 years and received his Medical Doctorate and a Master’s Degree in Public Health from UVA.  His Master’s thesis project focused on studying and preventing childhood malnutrition in the slums of Pune, India.  Dr. Long completed his pediatric residency training at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C.  He has a particular interest in treating children dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, and other behavioral or mental health disorders. He and his wife have two children — one biological and one adopted — and two cats. They love enjoying outdoor activities in the area, playing a variety of sports, learning about new things through audio books, and traveling.
